It's like Piccadilly Circus down there...oh yeah, that's because it is

As a proud supplier of Whole Foods market we were lucky enough to have a sneak preview of their brand new store that opens in Piccadilly tomorrow. We were even allowed to lunch on some of the delicious food that will be on offer in the store. It was amazing and we were like children in a sweet shop. We wanted to sample everything but we were restrained in what we picked. Well, most of us were anyway. Jeremy and I got a regular sized plate of food each. Rolf got two plates… No surprise there then. He’ll take anything that’s going that one!

Based in the heart of Piccadilly, the new Whole Foods Market is in a prime location and is housed in a large building on its own pedestrianised area. It looks very grand and is bound to be popular with tourists and city workers alike, as well as London residents who may be taking a stroll in the area after shopping on nearby Regent Street and Carnaby Street. It’s ideal. If I worked near there I’d be in every day. And I tell you what, I wouldn’t only just buy What On Earth food either!

Talking of which, the What On Earth food that will be in store will include both retail products and ingredients. Obviously you won’t get to see the ingredients as such (y’know, because they’re in things!) but you will see our lovely retail items on the shelves. Keep your eyes peeled for our organic pizzas, organic cheesecakes and our organic ambient items. This is what they look like, just in case you’d forgotten.

As well as branded food products, the store also has fresh self-service food bars, smoothie and coffee bars, home wares and even a macaroon tower. It’s great! They have included lots of places to sit as well, so customers like you can enjoy your food inside the store rather than take it away. But you can take it away too, y’know if you want to. They don’t make you stay inside.

The store opens tomorrow – Tuesday 22 May. But, if you are unable to make it down there and can’t wait any longer to see what the place looks like then check out the following photos. They’re our way of giving you a sneak preview of our sneak preview. Clever huh?

So there we have it. That was your sneak preview of our sneak preview. The place is looking pretty good huh? If you like what you see you should certainly get down to Piccadilly Circus as soon as you can so you can see the new store in all its glory.

I’ll see you down there!

Peace, love and brand new Whole Foods Market Piccadilly Circus pizza.

Easter desserts for all - whether you love or loathe chocolate

We're launching some brand new desserts next month that are coming out in time for Easter and spring. Pretty good news hey?! The even better news is that both chocolate lovers and chocolate haters can rejoice because our sweet treats will suit all tastes. Yep, it's true. We're not just making chocolatey desserts to celebrate Easter, we're making a mix of different options that will also be perfect for spring. You could say there are a few strings to our bow....or you could just call us greedy. We'd like to think that we're just generous and keen to please. What's more, you don't even have to wait that long to get your mitts on these great new treats. They will launch on 8 March and will be available to buy through our friends over at Abel & Cole - http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/.

The Easter desserts will include the fruity Raspberry Trifle, which is a must for anybody avoiding chocolate, as well as the decadent Chocolate Roulade which will have chocolate fans craving more. The spring desserts are traditional favourites and are sure to be a hit with cheesecake aficionados across the country. There are the Light Blackcurrant Cheesecakes, which come in individual ramekins, and also the classic Lemon Cheesecake (530g). They sound pretty tasty don't they? Well take a look at them in all their glory too...

Looking pretty blooming lovely aren't they?  We have our talented team based down in Somerset to thank for these beautiful looking treats.  They are a rather clever lot down there and we think they are owed a round of applause.  *claps loudly while the rest of the office turn round to see what is going on*

FoodBev.com thinks the desserts sound rather tasty too.  So tasty in fact that they've put photos of them on their website in the 'Innovations' section.  That's right, we're innovators.  Hurrah!  Check it out here: http://www.foodbev.com/innovations/easter-dessert-range-from-what-on-earth

If you want some of our desserts log on to http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/ and buy some.  It's as simple as that.

Celebrate the last precious days of National Chocolate Week - with more chocolate

If you didn’t know already, this week is National Chocolate Week (as well as National Curry Week). Sadly, the week is now drawing to a close so if you haven’t been stuffing your face with as much chocolate as possible, now is the time to start doing so. Officially you have until the end of Sunday 16 October to dig in so get down that shop and stock up on as many chocolate goodies as you can find.

If you don’t just want more chocolate bars and are lacking in inspiration of what else to go for then let us help you. We know our chocolate so we have lots of answers for you to tantalise those tastebuds of yours. From sickly sweet to brilliantly bitter, we can offer some enlightenment on the best chocolate desserts and bars around. And yes, we are referring to our own products :-)

If you want to enjoy the chocolate cake in all its glory, go for our Organic Chocolate Fudge Cake. Each slice is soft, chocolaty and pure goodness. With a creamy topping and a moist, crumby cake you won’t be able to stop at one slice. And why should you – it’s National Chocolate Week.

If you fancy something a bit richer go for our Organic Chocolate Cheesecake. Made in Somerset where the sun shines brighter, the grass grows greener and the cows moo louder, this cake is a true indulgence that just melts in the mouth. The picture explains what the words can’t:

What On Earth’s Mini Chocolate Pots are another treat to the senses. Served cold, these delicious pots of creamy chocolate can be devoured in seconds. They are so good that one won’t be enough. A Berry Fool Pot is also available. Perhaps save that one for next week…it can always be National Berry Fool week in your head.

If dessert isn’t what you’re after and all you really desire is a good old bar of chocolate, we have the answer – again. GO*DO Organic Chocolate comes straight from Italy and it is a taste sensation. Never have we tasted chocolate so good. It comes in six different types too so you can take your pick of chocolate depending on your mood. If you want something dark and bitter go for the Dark Chocolate 60% bar. If you would prefer something more creamy and sweet, choose the White Chocolate Vanilla. Finally if you want to treat yourself to something a big crunchy and nutty, the Milk Chocolate 34% & Hazelnuts is the bar for you.

Can’t decide on what to go for? Just go for them all…why not? National Chocolate Week comes but once a year. You might as well get out there and enjoy the last few days that are left of it.*

*Disclaimer: Don’t blame us if you eat too much chocolate and feel ill. Your chocolate consumption is your choice ;-)

Peace, love and chocolate pizza.
